This year's annual holiday event in Olde Pickerington is called the "Holiday Gathering in the Village".  It will be held on Friday evening, December 4th from 5-9 pm.  Some of the scheduled holiday activities for this evening include;

- Children 12 and under can visit and have their picture taken with Santa, create some holiday make-it-and-take-it crafts, and take a Holiday Pony Cart ride at the Olde Creamery building on Church St.  from 5:30-7:30.  All children's craft activities are free and sponsored by the Olde Pickerington Village Business Association and Pickerington Parks and Rec.  One free 4x6 picture w/ Santa is sponsored by the Feather Your Nest boutique.  

- the Pickerington City Tree Lighting Ceremony will be at 7:30 pm in the Gazebo Park at the corner of W. Columbus and Center St.  Guest speakers and official tree illuminators will be Pickerington Mayor Mitch O'Brien and Fairfield County Sheriff Dave Phalen, and of course, Santa!  

- the Pickerington Food Pantry will follow the city tree lighting ceremony with the official Lighting of the Trees at the Plaza located by the Pickerington Historical Society on W. Columbus St.   This is an annual fund-raising event for the food pantry where the public can donate to "adopt" a string of lights to adorn the trees in the plaza.  

- the Pickerington Children's Satellite Choir will perform before the tree lighting festivities at 7:25 and will conclude the evenings festivities.

- the Pickerington Community Choir will perform from 6:45pm-7:30pm downtown.
- Strolling carolers, musicians and food vendors will provide outdoor village merriment

- the village's boutiques and eating establishments will feature festive holiday shopping and dining events
